Asheville Afternoon

Yesterday I hit the road with my friend Cara and sister-in-law Melissa for an afternoon in Asheville, NC. We drove up to check out The Big Crafty, where I met some great new artists and connected with a few people I’ve met before at other shows, which was super fun. I didn’t snatch up any goodies for myself…trying to be thrifty…but jotted down a bunch of names and grabbed business cards for booths I loved so I can check them out later when I’m Christmas shopping.

Melissa, Cara and I also ate some yummy food (fresh lemonade! hummus plate!) and chatted about all kinds of topics. It’s so nice to have some girl time.

I didn’t snap any pictures at the show because I was too distracted by all the lovely things around me, but I got a few fun shots around Asheville in general.

I love the vibe of Asheville—a lot of individuality in fashion; a huge emphasis on local; amazing food; and a very well-established art community. Plus the Blue Ridge Mountains peeking around every corner. It’s one of my favorite places for a day or weekend trip, and I’m glad we live so close!

Such a cute photo Melissa. Perhaps we need her to model our prints more often :)

This looks like such a fun trip… and that photo of the pita/hummus plate makes me want to get up and find a snack :o)
