I’ve been so inspired by the National Parks recently that I decided to create some pieces based on their gorgeous scenery. My first of these creations is a Grand Prismatic Spring Brooch, based on the Grand Prismatic Spring in Yellowstone National Park.

I decided to use needle felting to capture some of the mist rising from the spring. This isn’t a process I use very often, but it was the perfect way to add that soft white foggy vapor above the whole piece.
