Craft Paper Gift Wrap

There is something so lovely about the “brown paper package tied up with string” idea, don’t you think? I love using the simple background of the brown paper to emphasize pretty ribbons or my new obsession, yarn pom poms.

This is a baby shower gift, if you couldn’t tell ;) I have some red yarn on hold right now to make pom poms to top my Christmas gifts, and I’ve seen tons of cute ideas on pinterest for holiday wrapping. I guess I just need to start on my Christmas list so I have some more presents to wrap!

Gift Wrapping Ideas

I started on my gift wrapping over the weekend. Here are some ideas I’m using this year to make my presents extra pretty…

CRAFT PAPER: My favorite thing to do is start out with plain brown craft paper and dress it up. If your package is small enough you can even re-use a brown paper bag for wrapping.

FABRIC: This year I’ve torn up some strips of Christmas fabric to use as ribbon. Fabric dresses up a package so quickly, and can be remade into something new when you’re done opening presents :)

TISSUE PAPER: I’ve been making tissue paper pom poms (DIY) for bows. These are super easy to make!

POM POMS: I’ve also been using my pom pom makers like crazy this season, for ornaments and gift toppers. They are also very easy to use. Best $8 I’ve spent in awhile!!
