Gift Wrapping Ideas

Tuesday, December 13th, 2011

I started on my gift wrapping over the weekend. Here are some ideas I’m using this year to make my presents extra pretty…

CRAFT PAPER: My favorite thing to do is start out with plain brown craft paper and dress it up. If your package is small enough you can even re-use a brown paper bag for wrapping.

FABRIC: This year I’ve torn up some strips of Christmas fabric to use as ribbon. Fabric dresses up a package so quickly, and can be remade into something new when you’re done opening presents :)

TISSUE PAPER: I’ve been making tissue paper pom poms (DIY) for bows. These are super easy to make!

POM POMS: I’ve also been using my pom pom makers like crazy this season, for ornaments and gift toppers. They are also very easy to use. Best $8 I’ve spent in awhile!!

I love these simple ideas for making gifts look extra special. Happy wrapping!

November Rain

Wednesday, November 16th, 2011

I just love the colors we see this time of year. Our South Carolina town has finally seemed to reach peak color. We’ve been waiting and waiting, and the trees finally exploded last week. And today is wonderfully rainy here, so I added a touch of rain to this week’s handmade collection.

Here are some pretties to brighten your Wednesday, with fall and rain in mind…

Monday, November 7th, 2011

I am always so delighted by the sweet vintage images of ice skaters, and I thought that theme would be a great jumping point for a collection of vintage and handmade items. Aren’t these darling??

handmade halloween

Monday, October 31st, 2011

I want to start sharing some handmade finds from etsy more regularly again, and I think Halloween is the perfect day to begin! I love supporting handmade art, but I know it can be hard to sort through the many things etsy has to offer. I’ve had a great time the past few weeks scouring etsy for my own Christmas & gift shopping (I have lots of friends with November birthdays!!), and I’m inspired to share a few of the wonderful goodies I’ve found along the way that will maybe help you discover the perfect, unique gifts for those on your own Christmas list. Or at least have a good place to start! :-)

Today I have some lovelies to share with a spooky theme. (Click on the image to be directed to etsy, where you can find each item for sale!)

Can you tell I’m a little obsessed with felted pumpkins?? They are just the cutest…

This Halloween headband is still available in my own etsy shop…it’s a stretchy headband perfect for baby or your little girl!
